Dowtown Santa Claus Parade
Come get into the holiday spirit and enjoy more than sixty floats, marching bands, community groups, and of course--Santa Claus!
Date: December 13th at noon
Location: North on Macleod Trail from City Hall to 6th Avenue to 4th Street to 8th Avenue to Olympic Plaza
Head down to Heritage Park and celebrate Christmas the old-fashioned way. Enjoy the most festive season of the year, tasting Christmas goodies, singing your favorite songs and taking in the overall merriment of the moment. Don’t miss the wagon rides, storytelling, and the Santa Express!

Lights of the Season
For Calgary families, the holiday season would not be complete without a pilgrimage to the annual light display. Each year The Lions Club, with the help of a variety of other sponsors, illuminate the east side of the Confederation Golf Course with thousands of colourful lights arranged in seasonal displays.
