Pucker Up! - Ages 2 and upA classic activity that is super sour and lots of fun? Why not have a lemonade stand this summer! My four-year old loved it! What you will need:
- Lemonade – either buy your favourite brand or squeeze your own. Have a few jugs on hand.
- Creative Sign – this is the part where the kids can really have fun. I pasted a picture of my daughter in the middle of some bright paper and she went all out with stickers and colourful designs. We called it “Hayley’s Lemonade”. Who could refuse!
- Cute Smile – this is the easy part.
- Cups – we opted for plastic with our recycling box for empty cups or you can use your own cups that can be washed after your sale.
- Bowl for Donations – a cup, a plate, a bowl, whatever you have. You might even want to have your little one decorate a paper plate or empty jar.
- Table – to display your lemonade. A chair may also be a good idea for tired little legs.
If you have a charity or cause (kids’ school, local food bank etc.) that is near and dear to your family’s heart this is a great way to raise a little money. A little boy named Jack comes to mind. He recently completed his second annual lemonade fundraiser for Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. Or just do it for the fun of it, to see smiles on little faces, and to get to know your neighbours. Those are great causes too!
Have fun and pucker up!
