Going on a collection walk is a great way to combine some fresh air with craft time. Take a basket or brown bag out on your next walk and have your little one look for rocks for the collection. All shapes, sizes and colours work! Once you have your collection and some rosy cheeks head back home to create your rock band. 

 

First paint your rocks then using whatever you have – googly eyes, pipe cleaners, or stickers, create your band. Remember the number of members can vary. Once your band is ready they will need a name. My four year old used names such as ‘Mommy Rocker’, ‘Daddy Rocker’, ‘Grandma Rocker’, and ‘Grandpa Rocker’. Finish up with a stage (made out of Popsicle sticks or an old tissue box) and your band is ready to go. Depending on the age of your little ones you may want to add in some instruments. 

 

Once your little one has had some time to practice, your rock band is ready for the big show. Put on a little rock music (AC/DC comes highly recommended) and watch your little one put on a rock concert for family and friends.
