Apple Cheeks for Tiny Bums

I’ve collected a lot of things in my time. From stickers to coins to vintage handbags, never would I have guessed that as a mother I would one day collect and become a connoisseur of—wait for it—diapers. Yes, you read that correctly. Diapers.

As an avid cloth diaperer, I have spent the last two years amassing a collection of diapers in my quest for the perfect fit, the perfect absorbency, and the perfect wash and dry.

The latest diaper to strike my fancy is a pocket diaper made right here in Canada called Apple CheeksI’m all over this diaper. And I’ll tell you why.

First of all, the pocket style is easy to use and versatile, allowing you to layer the diaper as thickly as you like—perfect for nighttime and outings. The envelope cover features snap fasteners that adjust for fit and an outer layer of breathable, waterproof polyurethane laminated polyester (PUL). The inner lining of the cover is made of incredibly soft micro-fleece, which wicks moisture away and leaves baby feeling dry. I can’t tell you how many times I argued with my husband about whether or not our son was wet. The fleece feels dry but you have to check the pocket insert to know for sure!

In the washing department, this diaper also holds up very well. With the absorbent insert protected inside the pocket, you’ll never have to worry about washing several messy layers. These diapers also dry very quickly because the pieces are separate.

Just about as close to perfection as you can get!

Apple Cheeks covers come in two sizes: Size 1 fits from 7 - 20lbs, and Size 2 fits from 18 - 40lbs. Inserts are available in bamboo or hemp. Click here for a retailer near you.
