There is limited information about the use of medications during pregnancy, women’s attitudes and experiences with medications during pregnancy, as well as pregnant women's perception of risk associated with the use of medications.
Further, there is very little known about compliance to chronic therapies during pregnancy and mental well being of women during this important phase of life. Hence, there is an urgent need to improve women’s health in pregnancy in order to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy outcome.
The Social Pharmacy research Group at the School of Pharmacy, University of Oslo, has launched a worldwide survey that aims to provide more insight into all these themes. The survey is carried out in collaboration with the Organization of Teratology Information Specialists.
We are spearheading the effort and looking for moms-to-be and new moms with babies younger than six months to take part. Those who participate are also offered the chance to win a $500 gift card.
